Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PreOp PACU Registered Nurse to join our team at Alpine Surgery Center. As a valued member of our healthcare family, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient care areas for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Conduct thorough physical and psychological assessments, evaluating patient history and diagnostic tests to inform care decisions.
  • Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed, demonstrating proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks.
  • Monitor patient progress, checking dressings and/or operative sites for abnormalities and reporting concerns to the surgeon.
  • Ensure patients meet discharge criteria, providing education and support to promote a smooth transition to post-operative care.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required.
  • 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PreOp, PACU, ICU or Surgery.
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment.
  • BCLS Certification upon employment.
  • ACLS required within 30-days of hire.
  • PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire.
