About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate PreOp PACU Registered Nurse to join our team at Alpine Surgery Center. As a valued member of our healthcare family, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our ambulatory surgery center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough physical and psychological assessments, evaluating medical history, and administering pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies for each patient's procedure, and maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Conduct complete physical and psychological assessments, and evaluate patient history and diagnostic tests to determine the best course of care.
  • Administer medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed, and ensure proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks.
  • Check dressings and/or operative site of patients and report abnormalities to the surgeon, and ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required
  • 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PreOp, PACU, ICU or Surgery
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment
  • BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable***
  • ACLS required within 30-days of hire
  • PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
