Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team at AmTrust Financial Services. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for administering the underwriting and servicing of new and renewal accounts for assigned Nonprofit agents and producers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwriting and Servicing: Administer the underwriting and servicing of new and renewal accounts for assigned Nonprofit agents and producers in compliance with Company underwriting, authority, and pricing standards.
  • Risk Analysis and Pricing: Write and retain a profitable book of business through solid risk analysis, pricing, and servicing.
  • Compliance and Governance: Maintain compliance with state filings and adhere to corporate underwriting and pricing guidelines.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with Nonprofit team members, keep peers and Nonprofit Management informed of all issues and activity, and provide professional, timely, and courteous communication and service to external clients and cross-departmental staff.
  • Business Planning and Development: Develop and implement a business plan for the assigned agents and geographic area, share accountability with team in meeting goals, and participate in industry events as required.
  • Qualifications and Requirements: 10 years of commercial lines property and casualty experience, Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, demonstrated experience with and expert technical knowledge of characteristic exposures of nonprofit organizations, and ability to interpret and analyze information so as to make an informed risk selections and pricing decisions.
