The Transportation Services team at Pacific Gas And Electric Company manages one of the largest commercial fleets in the U.S. They are at the forefront of green transportation technologies, including a range of electric vehicle technologies. The team oversees all aspects of Pacific Gas And Electric Company's vehicles & equipment fleet, working across various operating departments to ensure compliance, safety, and efficiency.
Position Summary
As a Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Transportation Services team and Functional Areas in implementing and operating the fleet program. Your duties will include providing training, developing fleet policies, managing vendor relationships, and monitoring program success. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Transportation Services team and Functional Areas.
- Facilitate waste elimination projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to solve complex problems.
- Provide guidance and direction to less experienced employees.
- Communicate ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 8 years of related experience.
- The ability to work full-time onsite at the local service center.
- Familiarity with vehicle and equipment types used in utilities or construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
Desired qualifications include a Master's Degree, PMI certification, and expertise in fleet management processes and cross-functional project leadership.
