Your Role

As an Operational Risk Specialist, you will play a key role in fostering a robust quality and risk culture. You will leverage your analytical and leadership abilities to implement risk initiatives that enhance efficiency and align with our strategic goals.
Your responsibilities will include executing plans that assist teams in improving interconnected departmental quality and risk profiles. You will evaluate business processes, identify risks and opportunities, and much more.
As part of a cohesive North American team, you will take charge of daily operational quality and risk functions, collaborating closely with colleagues across Canada and the US to ensure consistency and support the achievement of North American objectives.
Success Metrics
1. Timely completion of daily operational tasks (65%)
2. Achieving time and cost efficiencies through improvements (20%)
3. Customer satisfaction scores (15%).
What You Bring
You are a proactive and resourceful individual passionate about quality and risk management. Your ability to navigate ambiguity and apply critical thinking is essential. You possess the interpersonal skills necessary to foster collaboration and effectively engage with all organizational levels.
Essential Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in operational risk management, including process risk assessments, trend analysis, and internal audits.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to develop and deliver informative resources to diverse audiences.
- Experience in a progressive ISO program environment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001, and data protection/privacy standards.
- Knowledge of SOC 2 and information security control standards.
- Experience in change management and implementing organizational standards.
- Background in developing and maintaining Business Continuity Programs.
- Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as PowerBI.
- Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent).
- Understanding of Communication Services business within a regulated environment.
- Certification as a Risk Manager (CRM) or Internal Auditor (ISO 9001 or CIA).
