Join Our Team as a Behavioral Health Technician

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at The Emily Program. Our vision is to create a world where everyone with an eating disorder can experience recovery. We believe that exceptional, individualized care leads to lasting recovery from eating disorders.

About the Role

The Behavioral Health Technician will support our residential and inpatient milieu by facilitating therapeutic activity groups, assisting clients in acquiring skills to manage their eating disorder, maintaining a recovery-oriented environment, and providing general support and assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate therapeutic activity groups to support client recovery
  • Assist clients in acquiring skills to manage their eating disorder
  • Maintain a recovery-oriented environment
  • Provide general support and assistance to clients
Qualifications
  • Current Basic Life Support / First Aid certification required (American Heart Association) within 30 days from date of hire.
  • Washington State Food and Beverage Service Worker's Permit obtaining within 14 days of employment
  • Must have valid driver's license and be authorized to drive

  • Holidays: Employees not working at a residential or inpatient facility are eligible for 7 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday Non-exempt employees working at a residential or inpatient facility will receive premium pay at a rate of double time if they are scheduled and work on one of ten designated holidays.
  • Employees hired on or after February 20, 2022, will receive premium pay at a rate of time and-a-half if scheduled and work on one of ten designated holidays.
  • Exempt employees working at a residential or inpatient facility who are scheduled to work on a holiday may take the holiday on a different day during the same pay period.
  • Additionally, non-exempt employees are eligible or various shift and weekend differentials.
