Job Title: Surgical Technologist

NYU Langone Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to assist our surgical team in providing high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining aseptic technique, and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for surgery by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to prevent infection and promote patient safety.
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining a clean and organized operating room.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • 1-3 years of operating room experience preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program through NBSTSA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in a large complex Operating Room.
