We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, including setting up equipment and instruments.
- Maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures, including handling and preparing instruments and supplies.
- Assist the surgical team with patient care, including positioning and preparing patients for surgery.
- Participate in the counting and verification of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologists and holds a certified surgical technologist (CST) credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) required.
- Prior OR Technician experience required.
- BCLS certification preferred.
