We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Mount Sinai South Nassau. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic cardiopulmonary evaluations and respiration therapy treatments to treat patients with breathing disorders
- Assess, evaluate, diagnose, and care for patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and dysfunctions
- Operate and maintain ventilators/BiPAP equipment
- Collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate patient care
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Therapist program with a minimum 2-year AAS degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent
- 1 year of clinical experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency
- NY State Respiratory Therapist License, NBRC certification, and BLS
Our Respiratory Therapist will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and being able to walk/stand for extended periods. They will also be able to lift, bend, and carry equipment, as well as push mobile equipment throughout the hospital.
