**About the Job:**

The City of Seattle is a dynamic and diverse municipality seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Painter - Team Supervisor to join its facilities maintenance team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to lead a small team responsible for maintaining City facilities.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of painters, providing guidance and support, and ensuring that all work meets departmental and customer expectations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising a crew of painters in performing various painting tasks, including interior and exterior painting, and conducting field evaluations to ensure code compliance.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing a preventive and predictive maintenance program to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Providing design reviews, inspecting requests for work, and interpreting blueprints to develop needs for materials, equipment, labor, and cost estimates.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • Three years' journey-level painting experience and the ability to supervise the work of others.
  • Current Washington State driver's license.
  • Normal color vision.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work in an environment with multiple projects and priorities.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
