Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist PRN performs radiographic procedures using fixed and portable units in the imaging department, nursing units, and operating suites. This role assists physicians in fluoroscopy using fixed and portable units, practices radiation safety, and observes universal precautions at all times. The ideal candidate will pursue professional development for the continual improvement of patient care and utilize appropriate resources to complete assignments within allocated time periods.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures using fixed and portable units
  • Assist physicians in fluoroscopy using fixed and portable units
  • Practice radiation safety and observe universal precautions
  • Pursue professional development for the continual improvement of patient care
  • Utilize appropriate resources to complete assignments within allocated time periods
Requirements
  • Graduate of a program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiology: Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as an RT(R) or eligible for registry
  • BCLS certification required
