Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team at Ervin Cable. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that our construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform walkouts on construction projects to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems related to telecommunications construction, including aerial lift devices, utility lines/poles, and other equipment.
  • Organize workloads to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Communicate effectively with Company personnel, customers, and contractors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Complete daily production reports to document work performed.
  • Read, interpret, and input data related to construction projects.
Requirements
  • Prior work-related experience in telecommunications construction or a related field.
  • Proficient in the use of office hardware and software, including PCs, tablets, printers, copiers, Microsoft, and Google applications.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment, including wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, forklifts, and saws.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements. Work is performed outside in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation, and in rugged terrain such as back easements, rural locations, and at active construction sites. Noise level can range from moderate to loud and from intermediate to constant. There may also be extensive driving and/or long periods away from the home location.
