Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to fill the role of Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator. This position is crucial for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of comprehensive health and safety programs, as well as hazardous materials training, in accordance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations by creating and maintaining policies and programs that align with U.S. EPA, CT DEEP, and OSHA standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments to verify compliance with safety and environmental standards, reviewing necessary permits and reporting requirements.
  • Deliver training sessions and develop educational programs to ensure all employees are knowledgeable about health and safety regulations in both the U.S. and Canada.
  • Oversee industrial hygiene initiatives by performing air quality monitoring and chemical sampling, ensuring all data is documented for compliance purposes.
  • Manage the hazardous waste program, including employee training and recordkeeping related to waste disposal practices.
  • Utilize the EH&S incident reporting system to track safety performance metrics and manage incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

Salary Range

The salary for this position ranges from $71,000 to $106,000, based on various factors including experience and qualifications.
