Job Summary:

Mental Health Connecticut, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Specialist I to join our Young Adult Program in the Torrington area. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in coordinating the needs of individuals with the services available to them, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with individuals in recovery to promote participation in programs and activities.
  • Document all activities, communications, and encounters with individuals in recovery according to service contract and MHC requirements.
  • Ensure the safety of individuals in their residence through proper supervision of the site.
  • Orient individuals to the program available to them.
  • Responsible for maintaining specific activity and progress reports.
  • Teach and assist Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Implement the Individual Recovery Plan (IRP).
  • Monitor the safety of individuals in recovery in their residences through proper supervision of the sites ensuring the maintenance of safe and healthy facilities.
  • Communicate immediate concerns with supervisory staff.
  • Provide emergent program site coverage when necessary.
  • Attend trainings and meetings as required.
  • Perceive Problems and initiate timely corrective actions.

Requirements:
  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Experience in community mental health preferred.
  • Experience working with Young Adults preferred.

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: $21.00 per hour.
  • Shift differential: $1.00 per hour worked between 12:00 am - 8:00 am.
  • Comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
