Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Specialist I to join our team at Durham - Velocity HQ. As a key member of our patient recruitment team, you will play a critical role in identifying and engaging potential clinical trial participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit subjects for clinical trials through various methods, including database review, patient outreach, and advertising.
  • Conduct pre-screen conversations to evaluate potential eligibility for clinical trials.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective patients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Enter subject information into our clinical database, ensuring accurate contact details and basic demographics.
  • Schedule subjects for on-site screening visits and gather necessary information from research participants.
  • Review and become familiar with clinical trial protocols, including study timelines, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and study requirements.
  • Attend community events to promote our research organization and advertise for studies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient protected health information and adhere to all relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Rudimentary knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to use computers, Microsoft Office software, fax machines, copiers, and multi-line telephones.
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High school graduate or equivalent, with a technical degree preferred.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires sitting or standing for long periods, communicating in person and by phone, and limited walking and lifting.
