Key Responsibilities
  • Fill high-pressure oxygen tanks and operate relevant equipment
  • Assist with implementation of quality improvement programs to meet company and regulatory standards
  • Complete written production and delivery documents accurately and legibly
  • Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures
  • Determine appropriate corrective actions for safety hazards or incidents
  • Develop technical knowledge of medical equipment and services provided by the company
  • Maintain certification necessary to fill and clean equipment
  • Maintain filling equipment as necessary for safe operation
  • Manage territory to reach service goals for oxygen in accordance with industry standards, applicable government regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Participate in regular hazardous material handling training
  • Pass and maintain vendor training classes and become certified per manufacturer's training
  • Process all orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Report equipment hazards and/or products incidents in accordance with company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year or more of warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written, with vendors, location employees and patients to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
  • Interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of communication mediums
  • Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME)
  • Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to learn
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Must be able to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment

The Medical Equipment Technician will work in a warehouse environment, subject to extreme temperatures and climates.
