Job Summary:

Natus Medical is seeking a skilled Medical Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will provide industry-best technical support on computer-based medical instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong relationships with customers, managers, and the national service team.
  • Perform installation, calibration, and equipment repair on company offerings at customer locations.
  • Complete calibration forms onsite and email to customers within 24 hours.
  • Work closely with sales and service teams to understand customer service needs.
  • Manage territory and streamline monthly schedule with the service scheduling team.
  • Provide effective customer interaction through good interpersonal relationships and problem-solving skills.
  • Order and maintain adequate truck stock to replace defective parts in the field.
  • Manage tools and equipment to ensure they are in proper functioning order and meet Company quality standards.
  • Multi-task to complete responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Book travel arrangements for customer visits and attend trade shows, presentations, and meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field and/or training.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Familiarity with audio systems, electronics repair, PC hardware, software configurations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Experience with remote control SW packages, CRM packages, and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently required to sit, walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
