Heavy Equipment Service Technician

Stowers CAT is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing advanced troubleshooting and high-quality repair service on construction equipment, engines, and powertrains to respond to customer needs in a positive, safe, and timely manner.
Responsibilities:- Read and interpret technical instructions, safety manuals, service manuals, company policies, and procedures.
- Work with electric/electronic and hydraulic system schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment service manuals.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and high-quality repair service on construction equipment, engines, and powertrains.
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide exceptional customer experience.
- Identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide quality repairs of Caterpillar equipment and related engine mechanical systems.
- Field Service Technician training and/or equipment service and maintenance training through accredited technical schools, equipment dealerships, or manufacturer training preferred.
- Five (5) or more years' experience with equipment diagnostics and advanced troubleshooting on construction equipment.
- Able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and on-call hours as required.
- Must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, adaptability, and a strong customer service focus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Possess and maintain a current, valid state driver's license with a current DOT medical card as required for operating service trucks and for towing.
Stowers CAT offers a clean, safe working environment. However, the position may work in situations where hazards may be present. A detailed knowledge of equipment and engines is a must, as well as a demonstrated proficiency in service and repair of equipment using standard safety procedures.
Physical Requirements:- Pass pre-employment background check, physical exam, including drug screen, and meet all physical requirements for the position.
- Able to lift 20-70 pounds occasionally and push or pull up to 100 pounds.
