Job Summary:
The Shop Technician will perform repair work on a wide variety of equipment, including complete machine overhauls and minor repairs. The technician will troubleshoot equipment problems, diagnose failures, and perform diagnostic functions to ensure repairs are complete and the equipment is work-ready.
Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot equipment problems and diagnose failures
- Perform diagnostic functions, check pressures, and locate sources of noise or vibration
- Disassemble machines, order parts, make repairs, and assemble machines
- Clean parts, scrape gaskets, and prepare for assembly
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work environment
- Travel to job sites and vendor training sessions as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the heavy equipment industry or a related field
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient with computers and diagnostic software
- Ability to stoop, kneel, push, pull, twist, and carry up to 70lbs
- Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 15 feet
- Able to work in all types of weather conditions
- Capable of working with limited supervision
- Maintain excellent customer service
- Pass a background, physical, and drug screen
