Position Overview

The role of the Accountant, Inventory Management Analysis is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting and inventory oversight. This position is responsible for the preparation of accruals, account reconciliations, and internal reporting related to inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct daily and weekly reviews of inventory management activities, investigating discrepancies and unusual transactions.
  2. Collaborate with various departments including Logistics, Inventory Management, and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate inventory reporting.
  3. Assist in the development and execution of business test plans and process implementations within the financial systems.
  4. Perform month-end and quarter-end journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate completion of inventory management processes.
  5. Support the planning and coordination of annual physical inventory counts and perpetual inventory accuracy improvements.
  6. Engage in identifying, testing, and implementing process improvements relevant to inventory movement and sales.
  7. Prepare and analyze annual budgets for inventory-related costs, reviewing actual versus planned expenses.
  8. Complete ad-hoc projects and analysis requests as necessary, responding to inquiries from various teams.

Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. A Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.

Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.

This position is integral to the financial health of the organization, ensuring that inventory processes are managed effectively and efficiently.
