Summary:
SIGN-ON BONUS (for eligible candidates): $10,000 with 1 year of Surgical Tech experience
- Procedural Technicians operate in both sterile and non-sterile environments, ensuring optimal conditions for procedural patients. They possess expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques and apply their knowledge of human anatomy, procedures, and tools to assist in invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. Their responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, including aseptic technique, scrubbing, decontamination, and sterilization.
- Maintain proficiency in scrubbing procedures.
- Practice aseptic and sterile techniques while adhering to universal precautions.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of instruments, including proper identification, usage, and decontamination/sterilization methods.
- Work under the direct supervision of the procedural team within the scope of practice of a Procedural Technician.
- Demonstrate age-specific knowledge and skills to meet the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients across various growth and development stages.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of patient care.
- Commit to lifelong learning by identifying personal learning needs, participating in ongoing educational activities, and seeking experiences that reflect current practices to maintain skills and competence.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
- C-CCORT or CST or SURGTECH (Required)
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- High school graduate - required
- 1 year of Operating Room experience - preferred
