Job Summary

The Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing support to licensed medical providers in various settings, including clinics and surgical settings. This role requires a high level of compassion, knowledge, and individualized care to all patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed medical providers during patient exams and treatments
  • Interview patients to obtain medical information and vital signs
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring proper consent forms are obtained
  • Administer medications as directed by a physician, following safety protocols
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
  • Explain treatment procedures, medications, and instructions to patients
  • Assist with surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field
  • Assess patient conditions and notify providers of any distress
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and sample analyses
  • Document all procedures accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements
  • One (1)+ year experience in a medical setting, preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and medications
  • Detail-oriented, professional attitude, and reliable
  • Management and organizational skills to support leadership
  • Ability to follow or provide verbal and written instructions
  • Interpersonal skills to support customer service and team support needs
