Head of Technology Infrastructure Leadership Role

As a critical leadership role, the Head of Technology Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of Pennymac's entire technology infrastructure. This includes all aspects of the company's IT systems, networks, data centers, cloud platforms, devops, and end-user computing.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and leading high-performing infrastructure teams, along with deep technical expertise across a wide range of technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy aligned with Pennymac's business objectives.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure Pennymac maintains a competitive edge.
* Provide thought leadership and guidance to the executive team on infrastructure-related matters.
* Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Pennymac's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, data centers, cloud platforms, and end-user computing.
* Work closely with application development teams to provide optimal processes for CI/CD and system reliability.
* Ensure high levels of system availability, performance, and security.
* Manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers to provide optimal features at the lowest cost.
* Build and lead a world-class infrastructure team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Provide mentorship and development opportunities to team members.
* Recruit and retain top talent in the infrastructure field.
* Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and data security standards.
* Work closely with our CISO to implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect Pennymac's sensitive information and assets.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 15+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
* Proven track record of successfully building and leading high-performing infrastructure teams.
* Deep technical expertise across a broad range of infrastructure technologies, including cloud platforms, virtualization, networking, storage, servers, cybersecurity, and devops tools and practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
* Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects and budgets.
* Experience in the financial services or mortgage industry is a plus.
* Familiarity with ITIL and other IT service management frameworks is preferred.
* Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements relevant to the financial industry.

Compensation:
* Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location/market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
* Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
* Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
* Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
* Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.

$192,000 - $383,000
