Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our Sonic Drive-In team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the drive-in, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Manage and direct drive-in employees to ensure efficient and effective operations, including training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Customer Service: Foster a positive and welcoming environment for guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Recruit, interview, and hire crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levels, and prepare employee work schedules to ensure continuous ability to serve guests.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure product availability and portion control, and place orders for food, paper, and other supplies within cost control procedures.
  • Financial Management: Prepare all necessary operational reports, develop action plans to resolve unfavorable financial and sales trends, and determine compensation levels of drive-in employees within company guidelines.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement a marketing plan to drive sales growth and increase brand awareness.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), with experience running shifts without supervision.
  • Skills: Leadership and supervisory practices and skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, basic accounting skills, time management skills, organizational skills, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills, basic computer skills.
  • Work Environment: Frequent exposure to heat and hot liquid shortening while cooking, frequent exposure to freezer when stocking food items, occasional exposure to extreme temperatures based on variable weather conditions.
