OVERVIEW: The Parts Operations Advisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Parts Manager and the parts team. This position is focused on delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the efficient functioning of the parts department through the processes of receiving, stocking, and distributing equipment and components to various departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide professional and knowledgeable service to both internal and external customers.
  • Execute stocking, issuing, receiving, and inventory management tasks, including conducting cycle counts.
  • Organize and position materials and components on racks, shelves, or in designated bins.
  • Input parts inventory data using the Inventory Data System (IDS).
  • Affix price tags appropriately on merchandise.
  • Complete order forms and place orders with suppliers and manufacturers as directed by the Parts Manager.
  • Review production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to identify items for movement or distribution.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with manufacturers and suppliers regarding product and quality assurance.
  • Order special request parts as necessary.
  • Notify technicians and customers upon the arrival of special order parts.
  • Meticulously verify invoices against work orders.
  • Keep parts catalogs current and organized.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
  • Customer satisfaction for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accuracy in documentation and parts records.
  • Effective communication with customers regarding products.
  • Maintenance of inventory levels.
  • Timely ordering processes to ensure prompt service completion.
  • Updated catalogs and parts brochures.
