Staff Engineer, Vehicle Fluid Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our Vehicle Fluid Systems team at Relativity Space. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing fluid systems that ensure the reliable and efficient operation of our Terran R vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct trade studies to develop architectures and designs that meet system requirements
- Sizing at the system and component level
- Detailed fluid and thermal analyses, including system performance prediction and characterization using various analytical methods
- Create tools to enhance our team's analysis capabilities and streamline workflow
- Participate in design and manufacturing reviews
- Own and lead test campaigns to validate system design and performance
- Anchor models with data from test and launch
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working with fluid systems. You should be able to lead your own projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A high degree of drive and autonomy is required, as well as the ability to adapt to changes in strategic direction.
