The Data Engineer SME is responsible for all aspects of data profiling, data design, data management, and production of test data.

Responsibilities

  • Works within established databases to conduct in-depth data analysis to produce data profiles in support of customer business objectives
  • Generates data sets to meet specific data profiles to be used for all levels of testing within the SAFe framework
  • Strips sensitive information from data to produce sanitized test data sets where needed
  • Tests and corrects errors and refines changes to database
  • Interacts with development and end-user personnel to determine application data access requirements, transaction rates, volume analysis, and other pertinent data required to develop and maintain integrated databases
  • Work is specialized in one or more types of database management systems
  • Performs work under minimal supervision
  • Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff

Qualifications

  • A minimum of twelve (12) years of data management, database administration or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of data engineering, data analysis, or equivalent experience
  • Secret Security Clearance
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
