About the Role:
The Customer Experience Associate is a vital member of our team at Weis Markets, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, answering their questions and resolving any concerns in a professional and polite manner.
- Point of Sale Operations: Operate front-end scanning equipment and cash registers, performing all related checkout procedures, including bagging merchandise and processing payments.
- Accuracy and Security: Maintain accuracy during transactions, ensuring customers are charged correctly and proper funds are collected. Follow all store and legal guidelines regarding the sale of tobacco and alcohol.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on weekly ads, marketing promotions, and store layouts to answer customer questions and provide recommendations.
- Sanitation and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy shopping experience.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth department and store operations, continuously improving job performance and utilizing company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Additional Responsibilities: May be called upon to assist in other departments as needed.
Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without an accommodation. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
- Education and Experience: Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience required.
