Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, answering their questions and resolving any concerns in a professional and polite manner.
  • Point of Sale Operations: Operate front-end scanning equipment and cash registers, performing all related checkout procedures, including bagging merchandise and processing payments.
  • Accuracy and Security: Maintain accuracy during transactions, ensuring customers are charged correctly and proper funds are collected. Follow all store and legal guidelines regarding the sale of tobacco and alcohol.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on weekly ads, marketing promotions, and store layouts to answer customer questions and provide recommendations.
  • Sanitation and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy shopping experience.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth department and store operations, continuously improving job performance and utilizing company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Additional Responsibilities: May be called upon to assist in other departments as needed.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience required.
