Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Universal Banker to join our team at First Savings Bank of Hegewisch. As a key member of our branch operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and generating business growth through sales and referrals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our customers, responding to their needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and check cashing.
  • Meet or exceed established referral and sales goals for customers, maintaining current knowledge of all Federal and State laws and regulations, as well as the Bank's policies and procedures.
  • Process assigned reports and/or job duties in an accurate and timely manner, maintaining current and accurate records of sales tracking results.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the account opening process, maintaining current knowledge of the bank's new account opening procedure and bank products and service knowledge.
  • Comply with the bank's policies and procedures, including Know Your Customer, Account Supporting Documentation, Transaction Approval Limit, Identity Theft Red Flags, Regulation CC, Truth in Savings, and Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
