Proposal Management Specialist

Position Summary
The Proposal Management Specialist plays a crucial role in orchestrating the proposal process from inception to completion, contributing to the strategic objectives and service offerings of DRC Emergency Services. This position is integral to the organization and will collaborate closely with executive leadership, capture teams, and operational staff. The Specialist will report to the VP of Compliance and Administration and will thrive in a dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced team setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the tracking of proposal activities from initial identification to final award.
- Create proposal summaries to facilitate informed go/no-go decisions.
- Design and disseminate proposal frameworks and compliance checklists.
- Gather, distribute, and consolidate data related to proposals.
- Coordinate color reviews of proposals and compile feedback.
- Engage in desktop publishing and editing tasks for proposals.
- Participate in weekly proposal status meetings and adjust project plans as necessary.
- Manage specific pipelines within the division.
- Procure essential proposal materials and documentation.
- Oversee the production of hard copy proposals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong research capabilities.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-pressure proposal environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing Microsoft SharePoint sites.
- Familiarity with editing Adobe PDF documents.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Experience in desktop publishing and/or copy editing.
- Understanding of requirements from USACE, NAVFAC, FEMA, DHS, or other federal agencies.
- APMP Foundations certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to utilize manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and auditory skills.
- Capacity for repetitive motion, prolonged sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental focus.
- Occasional lifting (up to 40 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
