Licensed Practical Nurse | Pain Management Specialist

Position Overview
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in Pain Management, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care within our healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination and treatment areas in accordance with clinic protocols.
- Engage in pre-visit planning to ensure readiness for patient care.
- Conduct patient rooming procedures, including vital signs and data collection tailored to the clinic's requirements.
- Administer and document medications accurately, adhering to best practices and clinic policies.
- Perform nursing procedures and treatments within your defined scope of practice, following nursing division and clinic standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in conducting assessments, implementing clinical interventions, evaluating outcomes, and adjusting care plans in collaboration with the RN or provider.
- Distribute approved patient education materials and reinforce health teachings provided by the RN or provider, directing patient inquiries appropriately.
- Conduct independent nurse visits as permitted by your scope and departmental policies, with necessary supervision.
- Assist in managing the inbox and processing patient referrals and prior authorizations in line with policy and scope.
- Participate in the onboarding and mentoring of clinical staff as directed.
- Contribute positively to departmental growth by engaging in meetings, committees, and ongoing education and training.
- Ensure that documentation in patient records is accurate, clear, and concise, adhering to your outlined responsibilities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Education: Completion of a nursing education program accredited by a nursing board.
- Certification: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from the relevant nursing board.
Preferred:
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a healthcare setting.
Physical Requirements: This role involves very heavy work, requiring the ability to exert over 25 pounds of force constantly, and/or more than 50 pounds frequently, and/or more than 100 pounds occasionally. There may be exposure to radiation and frequent contact with contaminated needles and infectious materials. The ability to work designated shift lengths, including 8 and 12-hour shifts, is essential.
