We are dedicated to supporting the National Science Foundation's United States Antarctic Program through our Antarctic Support Contract (ASC).

Position Summary: We are currently looking for a Food Clerk to join our team at McMurdo Station. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient management of food supplies and inventory, while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the receipt, storage, organization, and distribution of food and supplies to clients.
  • Maintain accurate Maximo records for all supplies handled.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and management.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed in food storage areas.
  • Conduct regular inventories and audits of supplies.
  • Coordinate deliveries and manage logistics for food supplies to various locations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen storage areas and delivery docks.
  • Document all supply issues and returns accurately, following the 'First In, First Out' stock rotation method.
  • Assist in preparing reports and recommendations for future operations.
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality assurance regulations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current ServSafe Food Handler certification required prior to deployment.
  • Valid driver's license and U.S. Passport.
  • Minimum one year of experience in inventory management and materials administration in a food service environment.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Work Environment: This position may require working in various weather conditions and lifting heavy items as per safety regulations.
