Job Summary

Brown & Root is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including but not limited to personnel lifts, material handling equipment, and small engines.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, cleaning and lubricating parts, and diagnosing malfunctions using computerized tools and equipment.
  • Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts, and test major components to determine repair or replacement method.
  • Travel to worksites to repair mobile equipment, and operate electrical test equipment used in the repair and diagnosis of electrical components.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, cooling systems, braking systems, fuel systems, and steering systems.
  • Operate and drive various equipment, including personnel lifts, material handling equipment, and small engines.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and previous years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision, and rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy equipment and materials.
  • Climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, vision, and hearing.
