Hendrick Collision Center Technician Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Collision Center Technician to join our team at Hendrick Collision Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and performing necessary body repair work in accordance with factory and Collision Center specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine body damage on customer vehicles and identify necessary body repair work
  • Estimate cost of body work and request necessary parts
  • Perform body repairs, including removing damaged body parts and replacing with fixed or new parts
  • Document repairs performed and maintain accurate records
  • Work efficiently and according to Collision Center and insurance company guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Participate in required training and development programs
  • Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of body repair methods and techniques
  • Collision Center repair training or commensurate experience
  • Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform Collision Center repair functions
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping system
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel

Working Conditions:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work in a team-oriented setting.

Physical Demands:

The position requires the ability to lift up to 80 pounds and to work in a physically demanding environment. The employee must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
