Job Overview

The Guest Services Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing financial management, revenue tracking, and guest service operations aboard our vessels, ensuring adherence to the company's exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage professionally with all departments including Front Office, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, Deck, and Engineering, as well as with guests.
  • Compile and present daily and weekly financial summaries for the vessel.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the team of pursers and first pursers onboard.
  • Manage scheduling and crew accommodations for the Guest Services office.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, POS, and PMS systems effectively (experience with MXP is advantageous).
  • Oversee all financial transactions onboard, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle guest and crew account management.
  • Administer payroll processes for crew members.
  • Facilitate proper embarkation and disembarkation procedures for guests.
  • Coordinate provisioning requirements at designated ports of call.
  • Uphold the company's mission by fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Encourage feedback and implement strategies for team success.
  • Maintain the highest standards of maritime professionalism and practice.
  • Participate in all mandated safety drills and emergency protocols as required.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to achieve operational goals.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred.

Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) if applicable, or the ability to obtain and maintain it.
  • Copy of DD214 if applicable for Veteran status.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English is essential.
  • Able to interact positively with individuals at all levels.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and POS systems.
  • Experience in training and supervising staff.
  • Ability to independently plan, organize, and execute work assignments.
  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance.

Experience:

Minimum of five to seven years in a similar role within the hospitality or cruise industry is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Willingness to undergo and pass alcohol and drug testing as mandated.
