Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing vascular testing and ABI services to patients, as well as leading accreditation efforts for the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform vascular and ABI studies as directed by clinicians, utilizing advanced imaging technology and techniques to identify anatomical structures and abnormal blood flow patterns.
  • Communicate findings to physicians and other members of the healthcare team, providing clear and concise explanations of results.
  • Provide patient education and guidance on vascular health and disease prevention, as well as explain test results and recommendations to patients and caregivers.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, test results, and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and accurate diagnosis.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accreditation standards for the department.

Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a RVT sonographer.
  • CPR certification.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex information to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction, with a strong sense of initiative and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively manage conflicts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
