Compensation: Starting rate of pay: $19.75/hr

Job Summary:

Oversee the seafood department, ensuring high-quality products are displayed and customer service is provided. Supervise and train associates, manage work schedules, and maintain inventory and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers and provide standard customer service.

2. Supervise and recommend disciplinary action for associates in the department.

3. Manage work schedules, assign tasks, and train associates.

4. Process invoices, department reports, employee appraisals, and inventory.

5. Prepare and display seafood products according to company standards.

6. Maintain a clean and organized seafood department.

7. Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements:

1. Stand for long periods and frequently walk between the warehouse and the sales floor.

2. Carry up to 60 pounds and push/pull up to 1000 pounds.

3. Use proper safety procedures and follow directions independently.

4. Possess good communication and observation skills.

5. Work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experience working with the public.

2. Familiarity with seafood products and preparation methods.

3. Basic knowledge of seafood product uses.

Work Environment:

Work in a refrigerated environment, with temperatures ranging from 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be required to work in a freezer or chill environment.
