Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg RN with a specialization in Neuro Trauma to join our team at The George Washington University Hospital. As a Med Surg RN in Neuro Trauma, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to critically ill and injured patients with neurologic injuries, including traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and spinal cord injuries.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill and injured patients with neurologic injuries
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Monitor and manage patient conditions, including vital signs, medication administration, and wound care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit performance
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience in an acute care setting
  • Specialization in Neuro Trauma
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
