About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Specialist - Engine Expert to join our team at Warren CAT. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Create and deliver comprehensive training programs on diesel engine maintenance, repair, and operation, as well as soft skills training.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on diesel engine technology, including dynamic gas blending and ultra lean burn technologies.
  • Classroom and Training Equipment Management: Ensure that classroom and training equipment are in good working order to facilitate learning.
  • Instruction and Modeling: Instruct and model company values, including safety, ethics, and customer service.
  • Training Program Development: Confer with management and coworkers to determine training objectives, write training programs, and design laboratory exercises.
  • Examination and Evaluation: Administer written and practical exams, and write performance reports to evaluate attendees' performance.
  • Course Facilitation: Facilitate courses in classroom, shop, and/or field settings.
  • Course Development and Reporting: Assist with course development and meet established guidelines, and provide written/verbal reports to management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced computer literacy and mastery of CAT product knowledge, including electrical, electronic systems, and components of gas and diesel engines.
  • Certification: CIAP (Caterpillar Instructor Accreditation Program) certification within one year of employment.
