Clinical Contracts Specialist Sr Job Description

The Clinical Contracts Specialist Sr plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless contract management for COBM projects. This position requires a unique blend of advanced skills and experience in drafting, negotiating, and finalizing contracts for COBM-related services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafts, reviews, and negotiates clinical trial agreements, including Master Service Agreements, Work Orders, and Clinical Trial Agreements, with US and ex-US institutions.
  • Evaluates changes in study protocols to determine their impact on clinical trial site budgets, develops, negotiates, and finalizes budget amendments.
  • Provides ongoing support on executed agreements, including drafting amendments, extensions, and terminations, and interpreting contractual language in response to issues or questions that arise.
  • Collaborates closely with Lifecycle Finance teams and other internal stakeholders, providing timely updates on contract and site budget status, identifying and escalating any potential critical path items as necessary.
  • Tracks, maintains, and updates assigned contract information within the COBM Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) and other tracking tools, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Works with the Supplier Relationship Manager and Legal to establish Master Services Agreements (MSAs) for as many suppliers as possible.
  • Works with the Supplier Relationship Manager to incorporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) into contracts for applicable suppliers.
  • Establishes Purchase Orders (POs), reviews related Invoices, tracks spend against contracts/POs, and reports spend as necessary.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management to support the overall COBM function.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance or an industry-related field (Master's Degree preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and finalizing within the Diagnostics and/or Pharma industry.
  • 5 years of experience in specific RFI, RFP, contracting, and/or budget management experience.
  • 4 years of clinical trial experience.
Compensation:

Pay ranges between $32-46/hr based on experience.
