Role Summary: We are in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team at Gaylor Electric, a premier electrical contracting firm. The Project Engineer will collaborate closely with the project management team to facilitate the successful delivery of electrical projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within financial parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Coordination: Support the project management team in coordinating and supervising all facets of electrical projects, from initial planning through to execution and completion.
  2. Scheduling: Create and uphold project timelines, ensuring tasks are accomplished punctually and within budgetary limits.
  3. Resource Management: Aid in the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to guarantee effective project execution.
  4. Document Management: Ensure the maintenance of precise project documentation, encompassing drawings, specifications, change orders, and progress reports.
  5. Communication: Act as a liaison among the project management team, clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, promoting clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Quality Assurance: Assist in the application of quality control measures to confirm that electrical installations meet or surpass industry standards and client expectations.
  7. Safety Compliance: Help enforce safety protocols and regulations on project sites, conduct regular safety inspections, and promptly address any safety issues.
  8. Cost Control: Aid in monitoring project budgets and expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and mitigating potential budget overruns.
  9. Client Relations: Support the project management team in fostering positive relationships with clients, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project.
  10. Problem Solving: Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve technical challenges that arise during project execution.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Prior experience in a project coordination or assistant project management role within the electrical contracting sector.
  3. Strong organizational and time management capabilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  5. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  6. Understanding of electrical systems, components, and installations.
  7. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing electrical construction projects.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  9. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
