We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Trinity Health Michigan. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing delegated pharmacy technical services to patients and other Health System departments.
Key Responsibilities- Process and fill prescriptions and medication orders
- Generate medication labels, auxiliary labels, and documents for patient and pharmacy use
- Operate and maintain pharmacy software, automation, cash register, and associated pharmacy equipment
- Review and process computer data to determine and complete appropriate billing procedures
- Assume responsibility for the maintenance of accounts, records, documents, and other required information
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one year experience as a retail pharmacy technician
- Licensure in the State of Michigan is required
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred
You will be expected to demonstrate:
- Ability to accurately and quickly perform mathematical calculations commonly used in retail pharmacy
- Computer skills, including typing, keyboard shortcuts, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment when prioritizing work responsibilities
- Interpersonal skills necessary for effective communication with patients, physicians, nurses, and other Health System personnel
