Job Summary

Viking Companies LLC is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in top working condition. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair vehicles and equipment, including diesel engines, heavy machinery, and small engines.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including lubrication and oil changes, seat repair, brake, wheel, tire, battery services, belt, hose, headlight, and basic component replacement.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems, including electrical suspension, brakes, hydraulic systems, drivetrain, and trailers.
  • Ensure all equipment and vehicles meet safety standards and regulations, conduct safety checks, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a repair shop, with a focus on diesel engines and heavy machinery.
  • ASE Certification or Small Engine Certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical reference materials, including equipment and repair manuals.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
