Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead our team in the successful execution and management of large-scale mechanical construction projects. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing project planning, direction, and coordination, ensuring timely completion and profitability. Your expertise in commercial HVAC/R and mechanical construction will be invaluable in driving project success and contributing to the growth and development of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the profitability of assigned projects, aiming for a minimum of 10% net profit.
  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, fostering professional development and ensuring consistent project success.
  • Provide high-level oversight and strategic input on large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial objectives.
  • Forecast and manage labor hours and labor needs, providing a labor forecast and a 3-week look ahead.
  • Lead risk management initiatives by identifying potential challenges and proactively developing mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and manage vendors and subcontractor resources to optimize project outcomes.
  • Maintain open communication with clients and address concerns promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with department heads to streamline project operations and ensure efficiency.
  • Oversee the allocation and management of project resources, ensuring productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage warehouse inventory, deliveries, receiving, and material needs to support project requirements.
  • Maintain purchasing procedures and manage fabrication needs efficiently.
  • Network effectively to enhance business development opportunities for the branch.
  • Manage warranty needs and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
  • Participate in leadership team meetings, providing insights and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and extensive industry experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the Commercial HVAC/R Industry, with a focus on large-scale projects.
  • At least 5 years of senior management experience in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, multimillion-dollar mechanical construction projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and information.

  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead and inspire large teams.
