Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing direct speech and language services to patients of all ages who are referred to the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore or maximize each patient's functional skills.
  • Administer daily treatment sessions, ensuring that the treatment plan is age-appropriate and adjusted as necessary to meet the changing needs of the patient.
  • Communicate with physicians, team members, and other professionals to share information and ensure optimal care for the patient.
  • Provide education to patients and their families or significant others based on patient needs, identifying and addressing learning readiness, preference, and learning barriers.
  • Recognize the need for termination of treatment and effectively plan discharge, including establishing home treatment plans and/or arranging for continued services.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
  • Speech Language Pathology (SLP) License or eligible upon hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
