Position Overview:

We are in search of a talented Electrical Estimator to enhance our project planning and bidding processes. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing precise cost estimates for electrical projects, offering valuable insights into project viability, and supporting our company's growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine project documentation, specifications, and blueprints to grasp project requirements.
  • Generate comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for electrical initiatives, encompassing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather vital information for estimating.
  • Evaluate project scope to develop a thorough understanding of objectives and goals.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities, assessing their influence on project costs.
  • Employ estimating software and tools to ensure accuracy and consistency in all estimates.
  • Maintain a repository of historical cost data and industry pricing trends for reference.
  • Engage in bid preparation, including the formulation of bid proposals and submission documents.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site evaluations as required.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to secure competitive pricing.
  • Assist in post-bid negotiations and value engineering initiatives as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as an Electrical Estimator within the industrial electrical sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Proficient in utilizing estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Robust organizational and time-management skills.
