Compensation:
Negotiable based on experience

Contract Duration:
11 months

Travel Requirements:
International travel required quarterly.

Role Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be tasked with New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensuring scalability to transition a diverse array of products from design to production.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating across departments to develop suppliers, manage product lifecycle changes, lead quality improvement initiatives, and address technical root causes in supplier quality issues.

Applicants should possess experience in manufacturing and supplier quality engineering, capable of making significant business decisions on behalf of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and support electromechanical suppliers for ramp-up and scalability.
  • Provide supplier quality engineering assistance for scalability.
  • Advise on best practices regarding manufacturing tolerances utilizing GD&T.
  • Launch tooling with expedited schedules and evaluate project risks for the electromechanical supplier base.
  • Assess external production processes, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Qualify production processes based on dimensional data, control plans, and PFMEAs.
  • Facilitate internal and external FMEA reviews.
  • Resolve technical challenges across various manufacturing commodities.
  • Manage electromechanical supplier quality issues as necessary; drive containment and root cause analysis.
  • Recommend design modifications to enhance product manufacturability and testability.
  • Evaluate and authorize product electrical Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Analyze production, supplier, and field failures for root cause identification and resolution.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience within the process/manufacturing sector, along with a technical degree.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks-CAD.
  • Experience with PLM tools (Agile) and diagramming/process applications such as Visio.
  • Familiarity with core concepts and industry applications of PCBAs and electromechanical components (e.g., cameras, lenses, scanners).

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of PCB design and standards (Gerber).
  • Hands-on engineering experience with quality tooling (fault analysis, root cause analysis).
