Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Registered Nurse to join our Neuroscience ICU team at UNM Hospitals. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, lead clinical teams, and promote a positive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, working within the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and education to other staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Assume relief charge duties, ensuring seamless patient care and effective communication among team members.
  • Participate in the Clinical Advancement Program, working towards one of five CAP levels and earning increasing compensation.

Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification within 30 days.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo language skills preferred.
Working Conditions

This is a heavy work position, requiring the ability to exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally and 25-50 pounds of force frequently. The work environment is fast-paced, with exposure to chemicals and biohazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment.
