Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Bilingual RN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients while promoting a positive work environment and quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective direct care to patients, working within the nursing process to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations and discharge planning.
  • Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families, adhering to Hospitals standards.
Requirements
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days.
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
  • Nationally Certified in area of specialty (optional).
Working Conditions

This role requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

This position involves working with biohazardous materials, requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
