Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at TownePlace Suites Miami Homestead. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests and employees, as well as maintaining a secure environment for our hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Patrols: Conduct regular security patrols of the hotel premises, including guest rooms, public areas, and parking facilities.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, including duress alarms, guest/employee accidents, and vehicle accidents/thefts.
  • Guest Services: Provide excellent customer service to guests, including assisting with room access, storing and safekeeping of valuables, and responding to guest requests.
  • Surveillance: Monitor surveillance cameras and report any suspicious activity to management.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents, including documentation of actions taken and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent; college degree or vocational training a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-year prior experience in a similar position of dealing with the general public.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of guest and employee information.
